The Paths To Emptiness 4 (Untitled)

from The Paths To Emptiness by Fahl

/

lyrics

In my dreams I can see ashen valleys, their once life-filled forms cleansed by fire, rock and flood. All empires built by mankind with pen and sword faded away like dust in the sun-burned deserts long ago, swept away by time and blood, destroyed by their own creators. Where life existed there is nothing left, only the grey and scattered ruins of cities once filled with decadence and lust. The squares are covered with piled-up bodies of dogs, men, women and children – pillars of rotting flesh and bones illuminating the night while the pale moon burns everchanging scars and symbols into the ashes of death that cover this world from beyond the eerie skies. And the whispering winds carry a final, everlasting song upon the earth while bitter drips of ice-cold water slowly wash away every sign of what once was proud and cheerful.
